BC's Best Fly Fishing, Roche Lake Resort

Welcome to Roche Lake, where the fishing is so good, most of the stories are true!

Mid Week Special

Roche Lake Resort is located on the Thompson Plateau at an elevation of 3723 ft., just 33 kilometers southeast of Kamloops, BC, in the Thompson Nicola Regional District. Other nearby communities are Quilchena and Merritt.

The resort is located on the north eastern shore of Roche Lake, right inside Roche Lake Provincial Park. It is surrounded by small wilderness lakes perfect for fly fishing: Horseshoe Lake, Rose Lake, Tulip Lake, Black Lake, Bog Lake, Ernest Lake, Indian Lake, John Frank Lake, Frisken Lake, and Bulman Lake. Roche is the largest lake in the group at 134ha.

Come to fly fish for the famous Wild Kamloops Rainbow Trout.  These amazing fish can grow upwards of 10 lbs and are sure to give anyone a good fight. The lake is stocked but there’s more than fishing. The area is noted for camping, wildlife viewing and fishing.

When you’re at the resort, spend your days fishing, hiking, swimming or relaxing inside our private chalets.  Enjoy moonlight walks under the very bright evening stars.  There’s something for everyone - photographers, birdwatchers and painters will find a great assortment of wildlife and flora.

We are a seasonal resort, opening May 1 every year, closing in early/mid-October. We look forward to seeing you, we know you’ll love it here – you’ll be hooked!
